Mike Spurling is playing his fourth year with the A's at the ripe old age of 19. Mike started playing with the A's when he was 16. He joined the A's after a five year layoff as the A's batboy."Spur" picked up his first win with the A's pitching in 2001 against Carver. Mike is a Sibley East 2003 graduate and part of Sibley East 2003 MRC championship team. In 2004 Mike groomed himself into the #1 starting role in the pitching rotation. Mike also likes to fancy himself as a infielder when not attending to his pitching duties. Mike will be playing college ball next spring for Gustavus . Mike says his hobbies include girls, hunting, smoking ,chewing and swearing, but not in any particular order. |
